Case: Content Platform for Various Others Munich
Various Others Munich has established itself as a force to be reckoned with in the European art world – to mark the occasion of the once-a-year art and cultural event, the city’s leading institutions, galleries and spaces present diverse exhibitions in the media of painting, sculpture, installation, performance, video and more.
Culture Shifts developed the editorial strategy for Various Others as well as the content for the digital content platform “Various Others Stories“. As a central point of contact for the online audience, the platform sets content agendas, maps the event in its programmatic diversity, and at the same time serves as a net-based archive with the claim to remain relevant in the long term.

In addition to the podcasts, exhibition reviews, text articles and interviews published on the platform, Culture Shifts was also responsible for the voice level for the exhibition videos produced by the Viennese agency treat. Initially, we met the challenge of defining a content framework in a consciously conservative way by making the roots of Various Others the starting point of our media work: the art and the artists themselves.
In a second step, we opened up the field of content and used the work and the artist’s personality as a nexus for various questions. These were, for example: What thematic foundation is decisive for the art shown? How can the art shown be located in a superordinate context and made comprehensible? What is the topicality of the exhibited works? And finally: What remains?
